Occasional news, views and comments from Africa. "We sleep safe in our beds, because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm." -- George Orwell

THE HARDEST DAY
The Boks face the daunting prospect of New Zealand's Dunedin Stadium, the "House of Pain" where they have never won and New Zealand hardly ever lose. The stakes could not be higher. The Tri-Nations Championship and World No 1 Official Ranking. The Boks have made an amazing turnaround. Their rock-like defense is magnificent. Can they inflict bruises on the All Blacks or suffer themselves in the infamous Pain House? If I was to send a message to the Boks today it would be, "Work hard, pray hard, and tackle like hell".
(P.S. They lost a very tight 27-31 final, in which they recovered all the lost pride of SA rugby. Well done Africa!)
